I’m a science teacher from California. I’ve taught physics at middle school, and earth science and astronomy at high school.

I was inspired to create the board game Escape from Arrow Caverns out of my fascination with Matt Leacock’s game, Forbidden Island (2010). I worked on Caverns for a couple of summers, scrapping prototype after prototype.

Then, COVID hit. Schools shut down, and switched to distance learning. Caverns went on the back burner.

In 2022, I played another game that captured my imagination: Into the Breach (2018) by Subset Games. I was reinspired. So, that summer, I finally finished Caverns.
